Fine Yarn Shop

Northwind Book & Fiber has a complete yarn shop, with everything you need for your knitting or crocheting project.   We carry a wide variety of fine yarns in beautiful fibers and colors.  Our book selection is extensive for knitting and crocheting, as well as felting, beading, quilting, weaving, spinning, and more.

We run classes throughout the year for beginners and those interested in more advanced techniques.  Classes are offered in knitting and crocheting, and occasionally for other crafts such as watercolor and beading.  See our Classes and Groups page for details.  Sign up for our email to receive notifications of class schedules and changes.

We are currently carrying Japanese seed beads in sizes 8 and 11 and India glass beads, as well as a small selection of findings.

While we no longer carry looms and equipment for weaving, we do carry warp and many books on weaving.   Alene Peterson, prior owner of the store, now offers weaving lessons in her home and sells looms and other weaving equipment.  Contact her at http://www.flyingbridgestudio.com/
